YOU CAN WATCH AS ANCIENT SHIPS SET SAIL

Through our private portioned cities
ghosts may pilfer freely
inconsistant and constant as wind
miming the wander prodder ways
of pollen of perfume of hydrogen
of course we feel longing
of course we feel
subtle or mettle sometimes
you forget the ground to which we grapple
is spinning fast
you forget how vast the dual-course span of apple trees
it follows our harbours are lousy with ghosts
but please for sakes do not fear them
their blessings are withered but worthy
